In the current economic climate lots of people are thinking of growing their own food. It can save lots of money and is fresh and tastes better.
A greenhouse is a great asset to lengthen the growing season and grow more exotic plants. I’ve had one for a number of years that I built myself. It’s the conventional type, a lean to of around 40 x 10ft and about 8ft tall. The restriction is the height.

With a dome greenhouse you can grow really tall plants like grapevines, and also start planting on a series of different levels. This greatly increases the number of plants you can grow and increases the yield enormously.

Kacper Postawski was looking at ways to grow food, when he was introduced to Domes.
Having watched a load of videos he got really excited and decided he must buy one.
Then the quotes came!!   $15,000 to $17,000 !!   This he could not afford.
So he tried the Do-It-Yourself route and found a lot of stuff that was either very expensive, or not very well thought out.

So he decided to design a Dome himself.

The result, after tons of work, is a simple easy to follow system  -  which has produced this 40 ft dome, in a matter of weeks, just a few hours a day, working mainly at weekends.

Domes are amazingly strong constructions that can easily cope with extremes of weather - heavy snowfalls - high speed winds - heavy rain and even earth quakes.
Because the basic structure is part of a sphere and based on a construction of triangles, the loading is transmitted throughout the entire building.
Although immensely strong, the structure can also be light enough to be fairly easily moved.
It can lifted to a new place in your garden, or even broken down and transported with you to a new home.
